Imoke wins Cross River gov election

Liyel Imoke of the Peoples Democratic Party has been declared as the winner of the Cross River State governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The election, which held on Saturday February 25, 2012, was marked by voter apathy.
Imoke, who has by this victory clinched a second term in office, got 451,544 votex. He was followed by Usani Usani of the Action Congress of Nigeria, who got 31,026 while Patrick Okomiso of the All Nigeria Peoples Party, who clinched 2,235 votes.
